Are you licensed and insured?
Tennessee doesn't license tree services statewide, so licensing isn't the question — insurance is. Our crews carry general liability and workers' compensation written for tree work, and we send the certificate before we start. Ask any company for the same.
Do you have a certified arborist?
Yes — an ISA Certified Arborist looks at every tree that's a judgment call and writes any risk assessment or letter you need for the city, an HOA or an insurer.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Murfreesboro?
For your own yard tree, in our experience, no. Chapter 32.5 of the city code covers trees in public areas and landmark trees. Trees in the sidewalk strip are the city's; trees on an approved landscape plan are protected. We check before we cut.
How much does tree removal cost?
$250 to $700 for a small tree, $600 to $1,500 for a medium one on an open lot, $1,500 to $4,000 for a big hackberry, maple or oak over a house, $2,500 to $7,000 with a crane. Dead ash costs more than a live tree the same size. Written price on site.

Do you require a deposit?
Not until you've approved the written price and we've scheduled the work. Most residential jobs are paid on completion.
Do you top trees?
No. Topping ruins a tree and makes it more dangerous within a few years. We prune to the ANSI A300 standard, reduce properly, or recommend removal.
What do you do with the wood and debris?
Chipped on site and hauled, or left as chips or firewood rounds if you want them. Large trunks go on the log truck. The yard is raked and the driveway blown off.
Do you grind stumps?
Yes — 8 to 12 inches below grade where the limestone allows, roots chased, hole backfilled, 811 called first. Priced by the inch.
Can you work near power lines?
Near your service drop, yes, with the line de-energized or sleeved if we have to be close. Anything within ten feet of Middle Tennessee Electric's primary lines is MTE's job; call them and they'll clear it.
How fast can you get here after a storm?
For a tree on a house or blocking a driveway, usually within hours, any time. After a county-wide event we triage — structures and driveways first, hangers next, yard cleanup after.
Do you work with insurance?
We give you the photos, the itemized invoice and a written description of the hazard — the things your adjuster asks for. We don't bill insurers directly and we don't waive deductibles.
Do you serve Smyrna and La Vergne?
Yes — Smyrna, La Vergne, Christiana, Rockvale, Eagleville, Lascassas, Walter Hill, Milton, Readyville and Woodbury, plus Nolensville and Arrington over the Williamson line.
Do you remove Bradford pears?
All the time. Out, stump ground so it can't sucker back, and a native suggested for the spot.
Is my ash tree savable?
If it still has more than two-thirds of its crown, it can be treated every two years. Below half a crown, it's a removal. Our arborist will tell you which.
